M.A.S.H. - AKA Bumps, bites, bruises and burns in 'Nam
Our heroes have had to undergo a devastating few days in the land of the Viet, they have undergone a variety of physical ordeals in order to prove that they are indeed fit to live in this country: They have run the "Gauntlet of Moped" in central Hanoi, they have "Felt the needles of the critters" in the musty rooms and corridors littering this town, they have been bruised, burnt, bit and bumped in a vain effort to discourage them from living here.... but they have persevered!
Ok, on a less serious note, we have been bitten by a whole load of lovely critters here:

This is a ?Nam insect, a wonderfull little bugger who may or may not actually bite you, not that we have actually figured out which ones to look for - though on a second glance it may be a mutated mozzie - we shall never know until it bites us!
Yes, insects are nearly everywhere! Though we have only seen one cockroach so far, which we unceremoniously dumped outside the window of our hotel room.
There is now one hovering rightin front of my pc screen - they are everywhere - leave a plate out and in about 1.5 nanoseconds a whole hive of ants has migrated onto it and will probably carry away the plate too (and anything in their path).
However there is more!

These two lovely pictures you see here are what we call motor burns - the geniuses that we both are, decided to go on our scooter, me with my shorts and Jodie with a skirt - now put a) bare flesh with b) very very hot exhaust pipe = two very burnt foreigners - which was quote funny, until it started stinging.... never mind shorts on a moped then. And here is the culprit of it all! Our Scooter:

Its a little honda wave, or something or other, with 4 (ys, 4) gears! and its breaking down already - I dont think it can handle my considerable weight - oh well ..... it has a litle 3 painted on it, in case it gets lost ....
